Las Vegas

Las Vegas

Las Vegas is a mystical and dazzling sea of neon lights that beckons its visitors with luxurious accommodation, unbelievable shows, exquisite restaurants, world-class gambling, and decadence on a grandiose scale – it is ancient Rome, romantic Paris, exotic Egypt, exciting New York City, and the Canals of Venice all together rolled into one fabulous vacation destination. Millions of people fulfill their dream of visiting Las Vegas every year, and as to its manifold shape, it is not difficult to see why it has earned the title of the world's Entertainment Capital. It is impossible to see and do everything that Las Vegas has to offer during only one trip, and this is what keeps visitors returning over and over again – the choices can be overwhelming. Good planning is the key to any great vacation but especially for Las Vegas, it is highly recommended to set up a bucket-list.

Top things to do in Las Vegas

Call it Sin City if you want, but there’s no denying that the Entertainment Capital of the World has a unique allure. After all, it took a lot more than seedy clichés to make Las Vegas one of the world’s leading tourist destinations!

Las Vegas Helicopter Tours
Vegas isn’t a place to be enjoyed on the cheap! Set the tone for extravagance with Helicopter tours of the city’s kitsch architecture and surrounding desert landscapes.

Death Valley
Death Valley, the hottest corner of North America, may be ominously named but its beauty is quite humbling, and it even blooms in spring. Just bring plenty of water!

Las Vegas Strip
The Las Vegas Strip boasts many of the world’s largest hotels and casinos, all hosting their own dazzling shows. Take the scenic route by limo!

Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area
You might be able to see the canyon’s breathtaking red rock formations from your hotel window but getting up close to the Red Rock Canyon is a must for avid hikers, rock climbers, and mountain bikers!

Hoover Dam Bypass
The Hoover Dam Bypass is actually called the Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge, but neither name really does justice to this spectacular feat of engineering!

Hoover Dam
Did somebody say feat of engineering? The Hoover Dam‘s art-deco design is impressive inside and out, although the exterior’s breathtaking enormity is truly something to behold.

Planning Your Las Vegas Visit

When to go?

Unless you have a high tolerance for heat, plan your trip either side of summer. If you want to avoid the crowds then visit during the week.

How to get around?

From cabs and double-decker buses to helicopters and the Las Vegas monorail, the city has no shortage of ways to travel. Just remember that everything gravitates towards the Strip.

How to dress?

Women shouldn’t have a problem but male dress codes differ for nightclubs so it’s worth checking them online. Generally speaking though, a shirt and decent shoes go a long way.

What people are saying about Las Vegas

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This was worth the money! We had an excellent day 🙂
This tour was incredible! The driver was interactive with the group and very accommodating for the wheelchair in our group. The tour guide was helpful and informative. We were in Vegas for just 30 hours and this is what we chose to do. Everything was professional, scheduled, and fun! We were picked up an hour late (by a second party), so the day started off badly; however, the way our tour driver handled the setback was encouraging. We thought our lunch would be subpar (at best), but it was delicious!!! We stopped by a deli and picked up out lunch. The sandwich was large and fresh. They gave us all the water we needed/wanted. We returned in good time and are so glad we took this tour!

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had a great tour guide but Hollywood is really not very exciting.
Linda was AWESOME!!! She made the trip fun and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, there wasn’t much to do in Hollywood-It was kind of a big let down. We loved Linda but wouldn’t go back to Hollywood.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ So amazingly beautiful, it made me wish I lived closer.
What a great but HOT day. But Clayton is the best tour guide ever and really made the trip so much fun despite the temperatures. Both knowledgeable and funny, we got to see so many places and I got some fabulous pictures. I just didn’t have enough time or room on my camera phone to take more. Go on THIS tour. Clayton does the driving. You have all the enjoyment!

Valley of Fire 7-Hour Tour from Las Vegas reviewed by Laura

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Incredible ride over a breathtaking landscape
We did this ride a couple of days ago & had so much fun! Everything is perfectly organized, the staff is friendly & we felt very safe during the whole ride. I only wish the actual flight-time in the Canyon was a bit longer, as the flight to/from there takes up most of the time. We nevertheless had a blast & would do it again anytime! Hope to be back very soon.
